I started this website after seeing so many amazing photographers doing this. Most of them are doing self portraits, but I decided that I wanted to do the best of the best pictures. I hope that this gallery will inspire you to pick up your camera daily to find the loves of your life.
I thought it only appropriate for me to start with my love...my daughter.

The Sands of Time
Tonight we took a trip to the park and played in the sand for a while. I really liked the effect of the sand bouncing off her hands. Unfortunately, I couldn't decide whether I liked it monochromatic or in color better so I have posted two separate pictures...You be the judge.

The Long Days of Summer
Well, I love evenings because of the beautiful colors, but I also love this because of the long shadows that are given off right before sunset. Here is our family portrait. I must say it is difficult to hold my daughter's hand and take a picture...thus the reason I look like an amputee in this photo. Oh well, the cost of taking pictures.
In post-production, I added this glow effect because I thought that it was interesting. This really isn't my thing, but I thought it turned out okay.

In the Still of the Night
Well, the last couple of days we have been running into this gigantic cob web that is attached to our house and our car. Last night we found the culprit and here Charlotte is in all her glory.
I must admit that this was probably the hardest thing that I have ever had to shoot because it was at 10:00 at night and my night vision is not very good so to try to get a good focus of this beauty was difficult. I would have loved to have the detail of the web, but there was just no way. I sprayed the web with water, I shot the web dry and I could just not expose correctly for both. I did really like this photo because you can see a little bit of the silks and she is beautiful here. She was a very nice subject to pose for me.
Day 24, August 4, 2007
An Aunt's Love
This photo was taken on my vacation to Chicago this past week. Although I didn't actually take the picture, it is conceptually mine so I had to post it as the photo of the day. I just love this photo because these are the natural smiles of the boys and my grimace from the weight of three growing boys.
Day 26, August 6, 2007
Washing Up
While in Chicago, we went the the Kohl's Children's Museum which was absolutely amazing. The children were able to do craft projects using magnets and metal objects and paint...very messy, but a really cool concept. I really like this photo of Amelia washing her hands after the project was complete.

May I Help You?
This photograph is of my nephew, Brighton, and Amelia taken at the
Kohl's Children's Museum . One of the exhibits there allows the children's to pretend that they work for Potbelly Sandwiches, a submarine sandwich shop. The kids loved it because they could take orders, build sandwiches with all the fixins and then ring you up on a cash register and take your pretend money.
Day 22, July 31, 2007
The Orange Moon
Well, I am still in Chicago and while we were driving home tonight I saw this orange glow in the sky and perhaps I am just not observant or I live in the wrong place, but I have never seen an orange moon.
I told my sister that we had to drive home, get my camera and find a good place to shoot the moon. She told me that she felt like a tornado chaser. At least it isn't as dangerous to chase the moon. Well, this probably isn't the best photo that I have ever taken in my life, but I thought it was all right. I didn't realized how difficult it is to shoot the moon.
Your help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Contrast
This photo comes from our visit in Chicago. We spent the afternoon at the Lincoln Park Zoo (
